Agile DoDAF 2 + UAF + UML 2 Applied™: Enterprise Architect edition

COURSE ID: WS-DODAF-UML-EA
DESCRIPTION: This introductory DoDAF 2 training workshop provides students with a solid foundation for applying Model-Based Systems Engineering principles and best practices with the DoD Architecture Framework 2 (DoDAF 2) aerospace-defense industry standard framework. The workshop teaches students how to solve practical problems using Agile DoDAF 2, a lightweight subset of DoDAF 2 viewpoints, and UML 2 diagram types that are appropriate for their systems. Learning modules are punctuated with frequent Q&A sessions and hands-on practice exercises.

This DoDAF 2 workshop edition is customized to use the Unified Modeling Language 2 (UML 2) standard as the specification language, and the Sparx Enterprise Architect (Sparx EA) architecture modeling tool, to specify DoDAF-compliant system architectures. UML 2 is the industry standard for specifying software-intensive systems. Sparx EA is a popular and award-winning UML modeling tool. UML 2 is used in a manner that complies with the Unified Profile for DoDAF & MODAF 2 (UPDM 2) standard.

For versions of this DoDAF 2 workshop customized for other specification languages (SysML, ArchiMate 3) and other popular visual modeling tools, see the DoDAF 2 & UPDM 2 training page.

COURSE AUTHOR & CHIEF INSTRUCTOR: Cris Kobryn is the Founder of PivotPoint Technology and is an internationally-recognized expert in system architecture modeling languages (UML, SysML, BPMN, ArchiMate), enterprise architecture frameworks (DoDAF, UPDM, TOGAF), and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools. Cris has been architecting and designing distributed computer systems for three decades, and is known for successfully leading the UML 1.x, UML 2.0, and SysML international standardization teams. Recently, he designed the CyberML™ (Cyber Modeling Language™) to precisely specify Agile enterprise architectures that are scalable and cybersecure. You can learn more about Cris' qualifications as a Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Agile Architecture expert on his corporate bio page...
